"Joy"
All
that exists is the present moment. The past and the future do not
exist
- they did exist, or will exist, but they do not exist now. All
that you have
is the NOW. In the NOW, you can either feel joy, or something
else. If you think about it you will realize that you prefer joy.
Therefore if you
could control it you would want to feel joy at every moment. Well,
you
CAN control it. The way it works is that you make a conscious
decision to feel joy at every moment no matter what is happening
to you at that
moment. You separate what is happening to you from your reaction
to it. Your reaction to whatever is happening shall be joy. In
fact it is not a
reaction to anything, it is a fixed state of joy, independent of
events. The reason it is this way is because you want it to be this way.
You focus
your determination on joy so that nothing that can stand in the
way of your
joy. Having said that, if you check for joy from time to time
through the day
you will sometimes find joy to be absent. When that is the case,
make it the first priority to find out what has blocked you from
joy, and solve it. The blockage will always be an attachment you have.
This word "attachment" means that some part of you has
blackmailed the
rest of you with a demand that in effect says, "I will not
let you/me feel joy
until/unless THIS happens." Since you are blackmailing
yourself you can stop doing so, all you have to do is to connect
the parts of you inside so
that they are all on the same side - your side. Fearing future
unhappiness, attachment causes present unhappiness - this is
totally illogical and
self-defeating - why do it? Why deny yourself happiness? You
control your
moods and not vice versa. Relax your timing expectations - enjoy
getting
there not just the destination. Watch and enjoy your life like a
movie. Trigger word to remind you of this mind program: "Joy"

No
Weariness
There
is no weariness.
Mind and Spirit do not become tired nor weary, and I am Mind and
Spirit.
The flesh cannot become weary, since it has no mind of its own.
I am free from all illusions of weariness.
My whole being responds to the thought of life.
I am alive with the Great Vitality of the Spirit.
I am alive with Spirit.

"Prayer
of Peace"
I offer this prayer of
peace
Not to anyone god nor to many gods
Not to the Christian God
Not to the Jewish God
Nor to the Buddhist God
Nor to the Islamic God
And not even to the indigenous gods of many nations
But to the divinity within that we all hold inside
That makes us all brothers and sisters
To make us truly a One Family
In the name of humanity.
I offer this prayer of peace
To the cosmic Oneness that is our birthright
And our privilege
And our strength
That should we let it shine and show us the way
Will guide us to the road of peace
Not the Christian peace
Not the Jewish peace
Not the Islamic peace
Nor the Buddhist peace
And not even the indigenous peace of many nations
But the human peace
That has a place in the hearts of all people
To allow us to truly fulfill our divine potential
To become the children of one humanity.
I offer this prayer of peace
To allow us all to realize
And find the answers from our own well
Of spiritual wisdom
We must ourselves become the enlightened ones
We must ourselves realize out Oneness
I declare that we must all become earth-humans of the earth
And not of any religion, nation, or race.
But of this earth, for this earth, and by this earth
To create a lasting peace on earth.
I offer this prayer of peace for the United Nations
In which we stand here today
To life itself from the quicksand of politickery
And live out its distinctly spiritual goal
To eradicate the disease of war
And create an equitable and peaceful world.
I offer this prayer of peace
With all my fellow earth-humans
For a lasting peace on earth.

Heun Lee's prayer at the opening ceremony in the recent historic
United
Nations World Peace Summit
of Religious and Spiritual Leaders.

My
Dwelling Place
I dwell in the house of Love;
My dwelling place is filled with peace and eternal calm.
Love attends me in my home of the Soul, and
Joy awaits
upon me in the “
Secret Place
of the Most High."
My house is built for me by the hand of Love, and
I shall
never leave this Home of the Spirit, for it is always present.
I shall abide in this home forevermore.

Gabriel
Constans Finds His Toes
"Come on," my
limber wife said, as she left for her TriYoga class.
“You'll like it."
“No,” I replied, as I did every time she
asked. "You go ahead. 1’ll do my own exercise at
home."
And I did do my own exercise, a combination
of stretches, push-ups, and sit-ups. But my daily routine felt
choppy, strained my back, and just
didn't seem very rounded or complete. I’d done yoga when I was
younger,
but now I was 47,
and I was afraid I couldn't do it well enough in a class
and would embarrass myself. I’d never been able to stretch very
far
forward toward my toes with my legs straight;
I'd always found it frustrating that my hands could go only as far
as my
knees.
Finally, as a birthday present for my wife, I purchased passes for
two
sessions of partner yoga. She was thrilled.
The two men who led the first class were very friendly
understanding,
and relaxed. The first thing they said was, “Make this easy on
yourself.
Don't go farther than is comfortable. This is about relaxation,
alignment,
and getting what you need – not about how far others think you
should
or shouldn't go."
Their words were like magic. I enjoyed both that class and the
next, and
I now do a half-hour of yoga every morning.
My fingertips come down almost to my ankles in forward bends, and
I
have no doubt that some day soon, I’ll even be able to touch my
toes!

Only
the person who risks is truly free
To
laugh is to risk appearing the fool. To weep is to risk being
called sentimental. To reach out to another is to risk
involvement. To expose feelings is to risk showing your true self.
To place your ideas and your dreams before them is to risk being
called naive. To love is to risk not being loved in return. To
live is to risk dying. To hope is to risk despair, and to try is
to risk failure.
But
risks must be taken, because the greatest hazard in life is to
risk nothing. The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has
nothing, is nothing and becomes nothing. He [or she] may avoid
suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn and feel and
change and grow and love and live. Chained by his certitudes, he
is a slave, he’s forfeited his freedom. Only the person who
risks is truly free."

From
Peter Russell’s book, "Waking Up in Time"
Love
is not something you do, Love is a way of being.
And more than that,
It
is simply being.
Being
with another person,
However
they may be.
Holding
no judgments, having
No
Agendas,
No
desire to control,
No need to prove your love,
No
intrusion upon their soul.
Nothing
but a total acceptance
Of
their being, Born
of your acceptance
of yours.
