& Anne Menik connected in Sedona, AZ while certifying
in Dahn Hak as Energy Healer/Instructors.
In addition to “Shim-Sung” training (Finding your True-Self),
Mitch & Anne completed the New Human School’s leveled workshops such as
“Ready For Awakening,” “Initial Awakening,” “More Than Body,” “Healing Chakra I and
II” training and graduated from Dahn Hak’s “Energy Healing/Instructor Program.”
Members of the International Yoga Association. Through
alternative healing techniques, Mitch & Anne have and continue to heal themselves of serious health
problems and recommend the daily practice of Yoga, Tai Chi and Meditation for
balancing your Mind, Body & Spirit.
Mitch
and Anne Menik commenced training in Dahn Hak, completing leveled
workshops within the program to integrate the mind, body and spirit
through holistic health and wellness.
They connected in Sedona, AZ while certifying in Dahn Hak’s
teaching and energy healing techniques and subsequently formed MitchAnne
Yoga and Tai Chi. Mitch
and Anne Menik team teach working to help students become focused and
present and connect with their True Self.
Their Mission Statement: "True Healing is not about treating
symptoms or curing illness merely on a physical level, but about helping
people regain mastership over their body and mind with their own will and
power; ultimately connecting with their True Self." Mitch,
age 54 was born in Las Vegas and lived in New York for 25 years, was a
former Wall Street stock broker who also has backgrounds in Corporate
Finance and Investor/Public Relations.
He began his Tai Chi & Yoga practice more than 25 years ago,
while in yet another former career as the Director of Casino Training
Schools in N.Y. He
has subsequently chosen a much simpler and stress free life style in order
to focus on becoming present and to dedicate his life to the discipline of
helping others heal themselves. Mitch
had struggled for many years combating a Hepatitis “C” virus by taking
interferon injections combined with Ribaviron, the only known treatment
but with a low success ratio.
While undergoing the interferon treatments, he experienced flu like
symptoms and it was not until he added a vigorous daily Yoga, Tai Chi and
Meditation practice into his daily regime that he was able to ease the
symptoms and contribute to his healing process. Anne,
age 38, born in Guam of Filipino, Chinese and Spanish decent, lived in Los
Angeles for 18 years. Anne
has an eight year old adopted daughter.
As a child, she has always been interested in metaphysics, always
in search of the purpose of her “being.”
She began studying Holistic and alternative healing 12 years ago. Anne had been disabled for several years and struggled with infertility which resulted in two ectopic pregnancies and several bowel obstructions causing her to surgically remove part of her small intestine. Some of the problems she encountered were dysmenorrhea (painful menstrual cramps and heavy bleeding), dumping syndrome (chronic diarrhea) and anemia. During her painful ordeal, she would ask God, Why me?” Why must I undergo such pain and suffering?” After going deeper within herself and much Soul searching, she discovered her purpose for “being.” Throughout her years of alternative and holistic healing, she incorporated Yoga, Tai Chi and Meditation as part of her successful healing process and has subsequently devoted her life to helping others heal themselves. She
continues to practice alternative healing methods in order to maintain a
healthy lifestyle which alleviate most of her symptoms. Mitch
was living in New York and Anne was from Los Angeles.
They attribute their connection to the experience of Tom and Mary,
called “ToMary” energy, written in Chapter 7 of Neale Donald
Walsch’s book 2, “Conversations with God.”
This portion of the book is about a wonderful romantic love story
where two Souls are trying to reach that place of Divine Union which
already exists between them. “MitchAnne”
relocated to Las Vegas in January of 2003, purchased a home in the
Northwest part of town and named their united effort, “MitchAnne Yoga
and Tai Chi.” They began their Las Vegas teaching, in private homes,
their own unique style of Yoga, Tai Chi and Meditation that can be
practiced by every one of all ages and levels.

different origins but from the day they met at the "It was the end of class and people were spontaneously hugging one another," Mitch Menik said. "Anne and I kind of gravitated toward one another but when we hugged, I mean, we really connected." They began to date

The yoga/Tai Chi classes run back-to-back at the spa. Each one lasts an hour and includes warm up exercises, stretches and poses, guided relaxation incorporating visualization and meditation, then a finishing exercise. The relaxation techniques are as important as the poses. "Each class is designed to help you stop thinking so you become very in tune with the present, the right here, right now," Mitch Menik said. "When you do that, the body can rejuvenate itself, heal itself." Students of any level can attend. The yoga class attracts more people than the Tai Chi -- as many as 15 -- but the couple suggested that's because a lot of people do not understand the other doctrine. Their Tai Chi classes, Mitch said, forego the fighting forms to concentrate on Ki-gong, which helps people connect with their inner energy. Anica Eisner, a retired Summerlin resident, was a dedicated runner but injured her leg. She turned to yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates to help bring her back to health. She began with MitchAnne and took classes every day for the last six months. "It must have been good for me because I'm off my crutches," she said. "It's the best thing for you and Mitch and Anne are very fine instructors." Because the Meniks teach 12 classes a week -- besides what they do on their own and in their private lessons -- they are in top physical form. Mitch Menik does not look his 53 years. Anne Menik, 37, does not seem like someone who battled health problems. It was those health problems that led her to holistic healing methods and the two doctrines she now teaches. In her first marriage, Anne Menik underwent infertility treatments which damaged her small intestine and led to bypass surgery. Western medicine took her "as far as it could" and subsequent research led her to Eastern medicines. Implementing those elements, in conjunction with her medications, brought her back to health. Mitch told of a similar road to Eastern principles after he contracted Hepatitis C. To battle the disease, he underwent interferon treatments. They left him with flu-like reactions including fatigue, chills, headaches and overall weakness. It wasn't until he added Eastern medicine to the mix he reached a point where he was declared cured. He began studying yoga and Tai Chi 25 years ago, his wife began about 10 years ago. Both follow a healthy diet and advocate fasting and juicing. Being together 24/7 may be anathema for some relationships but the Meniks seem to thrive on it. For other couples thinking of working together, Anne Menik had the following advice. "You have to let go of your egos," she said. "And you always have to be connected to your true self, the loving caring self. Realize there are no mistakes, no regrets."
